LaMantia is proud to announce that we are the recipient of a 2019 National Contractor of the Year (CotY) award for a bathroom remodel in Hinsdale, IL.

For this contest, NARI received more than 350 entries valued at more than $97 million. The judges commented on the innovation displayed in all the contest categories and informed us that our bathroom project stood out as the best in our region for interior remodeling.

The Winning Project: One Bathroom Becomes Two

The winning bathroom remodeling project, aptly named, “One Large Equals Two Sleek Beauties”,  was completed on a 1950s second floor hall bathroom.

The original layout featured one large hall bathroom that was very busy serving the needs of the family’s three children. The clients asked if there was a way to create private areas, so the space would be more accommodating to all the children.

Lead designer Gina Mazzone, CMKBD found the terrific solution – create two bathrooms within the existing footprint! Mazzone developed the design and created the plan for this bathroom remodel, and designer Ashley Degnan assisted with choosing the materials.

Sleek, Modern Bathrooms for the Family

When it came to the interior design, these bathrooms were given a clean-lined, modern European look with special wall-hung vanities with indirect light, sleek plumbing fixtures, and special tiles.
